@dan Asus did that a few years ago, it wasn’t well received. Basically, it was overpriced, required a specific phone, and made the phone unusable while docked. That’s all well and good, but taking a call was a nightmare. The point of a Laptop/Lapdock combination, is to be able to have the best of both worlds with minimal hardware changes. You get a Laptop for when you’re on the phone or want to do some more heavier tasks, but also a Lapdock to charge your phone, or use it as an external keyboard/monitor. It’s not a perfect idea, but it offers multiple options, while keeping costs down, and the ability to use any DisplayPort over USB-C compatible phone like the Librem 5, or a Samsung Dex capable phone. It opens the market, rather than walling off the products to a single manufacturer. @linmob @talkpine @PINE64
